“Anyone who has played my instruments knows: they all sound very different from the normal guitars from the music store. First of all, I use a lot of crazy pickups, handmade, hand-wound according to my ideas, which I search and find all over the world. I look for the best woods and I also test a lot in terms of sound, because I'm extremely curious. You don't hear the same every day, that's no joke. Depending on the weather, humidity or air pressure, the guitar also sounds different. Most of my guitars are just oiled. Varnish looks great on stage, but the sound is worlds apart."

Since 55 years, artist, designer and sound magician Roland Hauke has been building electric guitars and electric basses in a small town in Lower Austria that are unique in the world. He has created over 250 instruments by hand. Each one is unique and has not been built a second time. Hardly anyone had knowledge of this worldwide collection of fascinating instruments that are works of art with a sound like you have never heard before.

A COLLECTION unique in the world.

Each Hauke guitar is custom made, unique and handcrafted. For more than five decades, Hauke has played his instruments every day and even today, at the age of 79, he still works five hours or more on his electric guitars and basses.
